things related to sound, visual art, architecture, modernism, music, design, fluxus, 78's, literature, film, ephemera, and much more ...basically a space to share "the collection", much of which serves as inspiration for my work...
yeah, i really wanted to write a nice long text about how friggin wonderful his entire body of work is, the breadth of the early conceptual math based things, the middle period concrete block scultpures, the recent seemingly intuitive wavy line paintings and drippy fibreglass sculptures; and of course the wall drawings. i reference his process all the time, but i also feel really connected to his results... one of the blogs i read yesterday mentioned that he is seldom discussed when guys like dave hickey speak about beauty and i always felt he was using the concepts and strategies towards making something that can still effect one through a visual experience... and yes, the darned things are generally very beautiful. times like this i wish i were a better writer.
nice you dedicated a piece to him, he was totally involved in music, particularly with the early minimalists, but he had a huge record collection and was clearly influenced by music and musical process. i'm just sorry i never got a chance to meet him as it sounded like he was extremely generous as a human...

very strange...i was just thinking about sol lewitt last week when i found an old composition for string orchestra that i dedicated to him.
im glad i got to see a bunch of his artworks recently at DIA beacon.
